Lions Clubs International
Lions International is the largest service organization in the world with 1.3 million
members. At their 1925 convention, Helen Keller challenged Lions to become "knights
of the blind in the crusade against darkness." Since then, Lions have worked to provide
assistance to people with vision handicaps. More recently, Lions have included the
hearing impaired as well. While this is a major focus, individual Lions clubs also do a
wide range of service projects in their local communities. Everything from building
picnic shelters to adopting a section of highway for cleanup is done to improve the

The Vision of the Lions of Wyoming
Purpose of the web site
The purpose of this web site is to provide information about District 15 LIons for the
Lions of Wyoming and other interested individuals. Every effort will be made to keep
the site current. Clubs and Lions of Wyoming are invited to provide information about
club activities and events. These can be sent to the web master by mail, but it is best
communicated in electronic format and e-mailed to web master, Lion Dave Orr.

avenue of involvement through the affiliation of Wyoming Lions with Lions Clubs
International. To achieve success, this involvement must include a structure that
recognizes the requirements of Lions Club International but also provides the
uniqueness that characterizes the needs of Wyoming.
