"We Serve"
Lions Clubs International
Lions International is the largest service organization in the world with 1.3 million
members.  At their 1925 convention, Helen Keller challenged Lions to become "knights
of the blind in the crusade against darkness."  Since then, Lions have worked to provide
assistance to people with vision handicaps.  More recently, Lions have included the
hearing impaired as well.  While this is a major focus, individual Lions clubs also do a
wide range of service projects in their local communities.  Everything from building
picnic shelters to adopting a section of highway for cleanup is done to improve the
communities in which they live.  For more information about

The Vision of the Lions of Wyoming
Humanitarian service, being one of man’s most charitable acts, has found an organized
avenue of involvement through the affiliation of Wyoming Lions with Lions Clubs
International.  To achieve success, this involvement must include a structure that
recognizes the requirements of Lions Club International but also provides the
uniqueness that characterizes the needs of Wyoming.

Success also includes developing a leadership team that is committed to the ideals of:
  • ·        Volunteering service to assist the less fortunate of the world;
  • ·        Motivating others to share in that commitment;
  • ·        Promoting the goals, objectives and vision of  Lionism;
  • ·        And having the flexibility to evaluate problems and trends that may
necessitate periodic reorganization.
To ensure a measure of success for the Lions themselves, opportunities must be
forwarded to provide for personal growth and development.
